A dealer for ADT...what bugs me is that the call was a dead air call. I really don't appreciate those. And when you call back their number to have your number removed, "That is not a valid extension"

Guess it's time to fire off an email and see if I get a response.

I don't know who they are, but calling at 9:55pm really ticks me off. I don't mind late callers. Sometimes, when you have to call, you have to call. But to answer the phone and get nothing but dead air...

Very tempted to call Bell and see what they say.

Wow, haven't posted in a while.

This one I answered...said hello several times, but no-one answered, and then they hung up.

On the internet, there are a few references to the number, pointing to a Bell exchange. Will keep trying to track this down.

Just got this one.... 10-10-103 an automated message selling long distance calls (you know...dial 10-10-103, then dial your long distance number) ... which according to the CRTC, they're NOT ALLOWED to do. They did rattle off an 866 number, but at the speed they rattled it, there's no way to write it down, never mind remember it ... and call display showed an "unavailable number"... How legit is that?

A quick search with google didn't come up with anything... Pity....

Once again, they have called. This time, I wasn't around, but still....I really want to know who they are...

Well, looks like they decided to call back.

Apparently it's Zellars/HBC (or someone representing them...the background noise was horrible as is the norm for a call centre). They're trying to get me to sign up for some sort of legal service. After saying it was a free service, at the end of the call they said they were going to charge $19.95 per month (at which point I declined).

Got this one on my cell phone. I've seen this number before, but as always, answer the phone, and all you get is dead air. Unfortunately I can't put them on hold and putting the phone down isn't an option when you pay for air time, but you never know.

Ok, the first victim is 888-310-6712.

Answered the phone, but no-one answered back.

Something that I do when I don't get an answer is I put the caller on hold or put the phone down (without hanging up). Then I check again in a few minutes to see if we're still connected.

Wonder if they'll call back.
