Welcome to the refuge of someone who's sick and tired of telemarketers, surveys and telespam. This is my adventure in the world of getting people I don't know to stop calling me to try to get me to buy or answer stuff I don't want.

Hi, I "Googled" this number and got your post. I too, have been getting calls on my cell everyday from this number twice a day - at lunch and just before the work day's over at around 4:30pm. WTF?! I never bothered to pick up the line, but it's annoying! I'm considering blocking this number. I thought of calling this number back and bitching my face off!
they called today and I wasnt at work so I could answer the phone. It is "Carlson Marketing Group." They are working for RBC and selling The CardAssist plus services which has an annual fee of only $39.95 Its a noisy call center but after listening to her for 20 minutes I was able to decline the option and hopefully stop the calls. They had my name phone number and address from the bank and wanted my city of birth for security. When I said I didnt want to give that over the phone I told I could use another word for security so I just picked another city. If you really want to complain about the calls I would call Royal bank rather then abuse the rep on the phone. This company may work with other credit cards as well so if you want to complain call your credit card company.
I'll have to check that out, but if one of my banks gave my number out, I'm going to have a serious talk with them about giving out my number without my permission. Thanks for the tip.
The idea in telemarketing firm, banks ask third party call centers to call behalf of them. Just bc if rbc, hires people on their own it will cost them much more compared to giving to 3rd to solicitations for them.
